How it works

The tool calls a public IP geolocation API (ipwho.is), parses the response, and shows location, network, and timezone fields alongside the raw JSON.

IPv4 and IPv6 are supported; empty input fetches your current public IP.
Accuracy depends on the provider; VPNs, proxies, or carrier NAT can return coarse locations.

Why is the city off?

GeoIP is approximate; residential ISPs often map to POP locations.

Do VPNs change the result?
